 Sevres Empire black ground Chinoiserie cup and saucer
 
Rare Sèvres cup and saucer with gilded Chinoiserie decoration on black ground. The conical cup with a raised handle is decorated with a frieze at the rim depicting gilded Chinese figures with their faces in platinum. Below, a vine with gold outlined polychrome flowers on a white ground. The saucer has a wide black ground rim decorated with Chinese figures in a landscape in gold with platinum details; the well with a polychrome painted vine on white ground.
