Sevres biscuit figure of Leda 001
“Leda and the Swan”. The unusually large Sèvres biscuit porcelain group depicts Leda patting the neck of Jupiter who is disguised as a swan. The piece was first modeled by Etienne-Maurice Falconet in 1764 after the painting by Boucher. [The swan’s wing and her head are restuck.]
