Fine Louis XV/XVI transitional period carved and gilded console table. The rectangular serpentine-form marble top with rounded corners rests on a pierced frieze centered by a shell surrounded by trailing laurel swags. The vigorously carved console rests on four cabriole legs ending in scrolling acanthus-carved toes. Probably southern French.
