Sèvres gobelet et soucoupe ‘enfoncé’
 

Sèvres gobelet et soucoupe ‘enfoncé’. Delicately painted with a maiden bathing at a stream, a basket of fruits next to her. The saucer decorated with reserves of a lamb with a straw hat and basket of flowers, the other reserve with a pair of doves on a basket of fruit. The ground is composed of a series of interlocking magenta circles with gilt dots in the center as well as at the intersections.

Dated “V” for 1774

Painters marks for  Méraud and Chabry.

Saucer repaired, small repairs to cup rim, small repairs to cover lip, knop restuck.
