Louis XVI Meissen and Ormolu perfume fountain

Fine and rare Louis XVI Ormolu and Meissen porcelain perfume fountain. The very unusual piece portrays a pond with porcelain geese and ormolu lily pads and cattails. The flower decorated perfume fountain and cover, with ormoulu rim and ring handles, is raised on ormoulu legs; the spigot is a dolphin in front of a scallop shell. The removable scallop-form basin is decorated on the interior with flowers. The shaped base has a diamond motif in the center with rosettes at the corners.
