Corneille Van Cleve Venus and Adonis
 

Fine pair of bronze figures representing Venus and Adonis. Venus has a hunting falcon in her lap; she raises the animal’s blindfold in her hand as if she has just removed it. There is a quiver at her feet. Adonis holds a hunting dog in his lap; there is a bow at his feet.

Attributed to Corneille van Clève (1646-1732)
