 Louis XVI marquetry secrétaire à abattant signed L. Boudin. A very fine example of goût grec, the first manifestation of the Louis XVI style, the piece was made in the 1760's. Illustrated: Les Ébénistes du XVIIIe Siècle Français, page 121, ill 4. A similar, though less elaborate secrétaire was in the Vicomtesse Vigier's collection and was said to have been a gift from Louis XVI (Paris 6/2/70).
