Exceptional Italian neoclassical pedestal with superb faux marbre simulating pink granite with
brecciated panels. The square pedestal with
tapering chamfered corners rests on lion paws standing on a square base. The
top is raised on concave sides. The pedestal is decorated with very finely
carved gilded floral swags. Original paint and gilding.
