Sèvres cuvette à fleurs with rose marbre ground. The central panel is decorated with grapes, pears and apples amongst a spray of flowers and leafage. The unusual pink ground is painted with a bold blue organic line, enclosing small circles in lavender, and a matrix of lavender and gold dots, highlighted by a lighter blue shadow line.

 Date Letter “I” for 1761, painters mark for Jean-Baptiste Noualhier.

A cuvette à  fleurs with the same rose marbre ground and similar fruits painted in the central panel is conserved at the Petit Palais, Paris, gift of Edward Tuck 1896.
