Louis XV ormoulu-mounted bois satiné and amaranth commode by Claude Lebesgue. Each of the two beautifully formed bow fronted drawers is veneered with two panels of quartered bois satiné framed in purple-wood; the sides with quarter-veneered panels. The moulded brèche d’Alep marble top is of conforming arc-en-arbalette form. Bronze doré pull handles, escutcheons, chutes, apron mount and sabots.
